Was a great place to go for a walk and enjoy the views. Sadly this place was closed on several occasions we visited but people where entering through a large gap in the fence. We did the same and was rewarded with some amazing views and a delightful walk.
Very pleasant experience. Thanks to the very kind Maurizio we visited the path towards the lake with the migratory routes of the birds. (Bird watching is also done at the oasis). Then we visited the garden of the friendly tortoises, followed by the duck pond and the storks' huts. The latter are part of a conservation project which aims to bring the stork back to Irpinia.
A WWF oasis with access to the lake, nature trails among butterflies, stork area, duck and tortoise area. There is the possibility to stop for a picnic and the staff are super friendly and helpful.
The oasis is still under renovation after the COVID closure so I can't give it maximum points
In any case it is a nice place to go with the family
Picnic area equipped with bathrooms, tables, shade and fountain. I would say that this is already a plus point
Attentive and kind staff.
Maybe don't go there in summer... A little too much sun.
I would define it as an "atypical" oasis compared to others visited in Campania. I was struck first of all by the kindness of Marcello, who welcomed us warmly and at the end showed us the tortoises in the enclosure. I was a little disappointed by the storks and ducks, which couldn't be seen well, while I was very impressed by the view of the lake. By following the fruity path (I think that's what it's called) it is possible to arrive right near the lake even if the path is not always well-trodden and the ground sinks a little. There is an air of freedom, peace, and if you are lucky you can meet many animals and birds. I absolutely recommend the visit to contribute to the maintenance of this place which, unfortunately, has been closed for many years and should be maintained better
Pleasant place, set in a unique landscape setting. The on-site staff will be able to guide you, with enormous competence, along a path that will make you discover the wonders that lie in the surroundings of the lake. It definitely deserves to be visited, regardless of age
Nature and peace of mind.
Excellent welcome.
